Preface

Recently, when reading a book about the quantum world I came upon the word “reflexions”.

A beautiful example of a world stipulating the possible presence of different holes of significance.

By putting a “-“ between “reflex” and “ions” these both worlds (the quantum and the physical one) become visible. The reflex-”ions” open for us the possibility to let the observed quantum to become part of the real world. It empowers the world of ever-growing awareness and consciousness, by wondering whether all we think to observe can be considered the same (identical to) what others observe.

It is impossible to find answers to this question. We can have the idea that we observe something identical and even give it identical names (because we have learned to give this name). However, whether we really have an identical observation cannot become evidence based.

To make it more clear; I suppose that we, knowing the difference between all individuals (and this is part of our personal assignment in life) observe different and also make other interpretations than anyone else. Exactly when we become aware of this and pay attention to it in our conscious actions we create possibilities to better understanding and mutual cooperation.

Preview for the month September

September in general is a month with harmonic energies. On world level this could signify a more quiet period and preparedness to listen and negotiate.

For individuals this might be somewhat different depending on their birth chart.

Yet it might be a month with difficulties in communication.

Mercury turns retrograde on September 10^th for the remainder of this month.

In addition, a number of planets (Sun, Mercurey and Venus) make oppositions with the planet Neptune, and Mars runs into a square with Neptune. All energies facilitating misunderstandings.

So, try to tune on the rhythms of the planets and understand cosmic messages, on an intuitive level it could give beautiful insights and inspirations.

September starts with an energy possibly helping us to carry out activities successfully.

About September 3^rd we may tend to exaggerate or to be broad in our communication.

About September 5^th the way we relate becomes more rational and less warm.

In any case we also become more helpful and less selfish.

On September 10^th Mercury turns retrograde. It starts a period of misunderstandings, and breakdowns of technical and electronical tools, and cancelled meetings.

Try to meet your daily challenges and obligations seriously.

It is also a time where you can become betrayed or receive messages from the past.

On September 11^th one could have brilliant insights, however they may be difficult to recognize or believed in. If applicable make a note of them, it might be useful for future events.

On September 12th we can be in fire and flame having met somebody, or just have a discussion with our partner.

On September 12th we might be rather disoriented. When you have an appointment on an unknown location, prepare carefully, otherwise you may get lost.

Don’t take important decisions especially when there is a claim on your trust related to this. Promises made may turn-out to be fancy.

On September 19th you might have the right inspiration and still be doubtful about your thoughts, making the right decisions might be difficult.

On September 20^th energy is helpful to refresh relationships and agree about individual and mutual freedom.

On September 23^rd Sun enters Libra, we become somewhat more oriented to our partner.

Today may also be a day filled with communication difficulties with the partner.

On September 24^th we might live on a rosa cloud, we can meet somebody being the reason for this.

The New Moon on September 25^th is on the 3^rd degree of Libra. This degree is symbolized by: “the brink of a new day reveals everything to be changed.

It symbolizes the possibility to have a new start based on new values, needed so urgently by our society. It is also a beautiful moment to have a group meditation on this issue in order to have collective inspirations.

The energies on September 26^th, 27^th and 28^th as well as the transit of Venus in Libra on September 29^th are very helpful for this.

Lesson 8: You are able to stand upright now, as a cliff in the sea and obey the warrior in yourself and being your guide. Not doubtful to carry out his orders, not worrying about the outcomes, for just one thing is important, the warrior fighting the fight of justice will win, he knows he cannot be beaten. So, while standing upright, being clear and awake, use the power to hear you have learned through the suffering and the annihilation of suffering.

Only fragments of the most beautiful songs come to your ear, as long as you are only a human. But when listening to it, keep in mind the true sound, so nothing you have heard will get lost, and try to understand the meaning of the mystery surrounding you.

After a while you will not need a teacher anymore. For, equal as an individual has a voice, all where the individual is part of, also has one. Life itself can speak and never will be silent.

What it will tell us, is not only a litany of shouts, but a harmonious composition. Learn from this to obey the laws of harmony.

It is the picture of your growth you will go through, when you allow guidance of the divine cosmic energies, experience them, and let them become part of your awareness.

Astrology and astronomy in daily practice.

On 23^rd of September the Sun returns to the southern hemisphere and passes the equator.

Days are becoming shorter. So, it is easier to recognize “bodies” in the nocturnal skies.

Venus cannot be seen as she is too close to the Sun and is on her way to an outer conjunction on October 22^nd.

The planet Mars will be visible at sunrise in the South.

Jupiter and Saturn are rising in the Southeast around midnight.

On September 9^th the Full Moon is close to Saturn, on September 11^th to Jupiter and September 17^th the Moon is close to Mars.

In the last newsletter I wrote the following:

About August 7^th, we can have the encounter of our dreams, at the same time we can feel somewhat inhibited.

About August 9^th, the encounter of our dreams can turn out not to meet our high expectations.

One of the readers informed me that her encounter caused the buy of a piece of art to be proud of.

This buy was sold so handsome in information that looking carefully at the object was not possible.

Two days latera first small imperfection became visible. At close inspection the piece to be proud of turned out to be repaired very carefully in order to hide all imperfections. The price paid turned out to be too high.

About the 13th of August we could see a swarm of falling stars (the Perseids) returning every year.

Some days later also in the Netherlands the Polar Light (caused by a solar eruption) was visible.

About the New Moon of August 27^th, we were confronted with the relativity of life, a number of remarkable and deadly accidents took place causing a lot of personal grief.

Mars square Sun and Moon in addition to Venus square Uranus and Venus opposition Saturn were the energetic basis for this.

In the same period my attention was drawn by another expression of Venus (beauty), in the T-square with Uranus (creativity) and Saturn (shape) by Leontine who sent me a beautiful picture of a spider in his web. The picture looks as if the spider is made of gold, Leontine also works with gold in the creation of beautiful jewelry.

Virgo in astrology and the tarot

On Tuesday August 23rd, 2022, the Sun entered Virgo as well as the Moon entered Cancer.

We went with our dog to the veterinarian; a good idea as domestic animals are ruled by Virgo.

The star sign Virgo has many stars, but only the star Spica is visible.

Spica is situated North of the equator and can be found easily (in spring and summer) by drawing a line through the stars of the arm of Ursa Major (the Great Bear).

Virgo is depicted in most cases as a virgin with wings in one hand holding an ear of corn and in the other a palm leave.

The blue and white alpha star Spica can be found in the ear of corn and the bright yellow star Vindemiatrix can be found in the arm holding the palm leave.

The star sign is considered during many centuries as female and connected to fertility and nature.

Vitality, growth, and fertility are best visible in nature in spring. Spring also is the time when Virgo becomes visible in the nocturnal skies.

The myth of Persephone

The beautiful Persephone, daughter of Demeter (Goddess of fertility) and Zeus was picking flowers together with her friends. Suddenly earth split and opened, and Hades, God of the Underworlds arose.

He hijacked Persephone to the dark underworld and made her against her will his wife.

Her mother Demeter couldn’t be consoled and looked all over the world for her daughter.

She was very sorrowful and neglected the earth. Fertility disappeared and everything became dry and deathly. People died from hunger. Even Zeus couldn’t comfort Demeter. So, he addressed Hades his brother and asked him to send Persephone back to her mother. Hades agreed, but first forced Persephone to eat from a pomegranate. Persephone fell in love with Hades, and was so in love that she always kept longing to stay with him. In the season when Persephone stays with her mother everything is flourishing, however when months pass, she is longing more and more for Hades. For this reason, she stays the other half of the year in the Underworld, invisible from earth.

As well the High Priestess, the Virgo, and the Empress the mother, play the role of the Goddess. The High Priestess e.g., is the one understanding Gods oracle, as a mediator between Fate and mankind. She is permitted to enter the world behind the veil and knows the secret language of life. The empress represents all female, all life bringing, all love herself and mother earth. She is the classical example trinity of birth, propagation, and death. On cards II and III of Rider Waite tarot we see depicted the ear of corn with the Empress and the Date palm and pomegranate with the High Priestess.

Virgo, the 6^th sign of the ecliptic, also is the sign where man is created. The creation of mankind in this world takes place on the 6^th day (according to Genesis). This is also the day related to Venus, Friday, or Freya. Form a mythical point of view mankind is created on a Friday, and lives in Paradise.

According to the saga he also fells down. On the same day he meets the snake and falls down to earth from Paradise. This story possibly explains the less fortunate meaning of the fixed star Vindemiatrix: theft, dishonor, and treachery.

The meaning

Myths about Virgo deal with fertility as part of the process of life, death, and reincarnation. And also, about the growth from young girl to older women. They symbolize the natural, fertile, female process proceeding independently. In Christian myths virgin Mary became pregnant in a miraculous and supernatural way. So, she symbolizes fertility as an independent process. The Virgin represents pureness and inviolability.

In time of the earliest myths, without saying life was connected to the female cycle of fertility. In the following more patriarchal era, Persephone had to be brought violently to the Underworld.

She staid too long in the virgin stage, picking flowers with her friends. To proceed her path to matureness, an experience in the Underworld was necessary. She had to lose her innocence to get mature and become wise. In our days we idealize young virgins. Our culture adores to stay forever young and also the path through the Underworld is easily indicated as “depression”. The term “virgin” nowadays has got a different meaning, far from the original meaning of pure and independent connection to fertility.

 The Virgin as Lady Justice

According to the saga written by Aratos in the 3^rd century after Christ in his epos Fainomena, the astral Virgin personifies Lady Justice, also the card Justice in the Rider Waite tarot.

In the Golden Age, Justice lived among mankind, but when afterwards mankind became less strict with morality, she hovered to the skies, where she only can be found as a star sign.

Not accidentally, the nearest star sign in the ecliptic is the Libra.

The Greek combined the signs Libra and Scorpio as one star sign Scorpius. They saw Scorpius as the dark force and Libra as the light one. Libra was ruled by the Goddess Astrea holding a balance in her hand. The Romans knew her as Justice and see as a result the picture on the tarot card: Justice with balance and without blindfold.

Spica and Vindemiatrix

The name of the fixed star Spica literally means inflorescence. Spica is in Virgo in the place of the ear of corn and symbolizes the gifts of earth to mankind.

The ear of corn is a symbol of earth’s fertility and growth by solar power, awakening life, and abundance. A seed first has to germinate and become an adult plant and after that, we can expect as a result new prosperity, the ear of corn. Spica symbolizes the natural process as told in the myths.

This process of maturing is important and needed for mankind.

Spica learns you to be prepared to lose your innocence and also to be prepared to go through the Underworld. At the end you are reborn and can possess of life bringing power.

Vindemiatrix can be found where the arm of the virgin holds a palm leave. A palm tree is a tree of life because the tree never loses its leaves.

In Biblical stories, we see the palm leave playing a role in the triumphal entry of Jesus in Jerusalem, when palm leaves were put in front of him on the road.

In the Christian church this event is called Palm Sunday.

The name Vindemiatrix is derived from the Latin word vintager (collector of grapes). When in ancient times this star was visible rising it was time to collect the grapes. In the cycle of fertility everything has a right time. It is impossible to harvest before the grapes are ripe. Also later is not suggested because grapes get rotten. You only can harvest what has bee sawn. Vindemiatrix gives you the insight to gather on the right moment and patiently everything you need.

Astrology AD 1910

This book with the title “Astrology, technics and ethics” from author C. Aq. Libra (a pseudonym for Roelf Takens) was edited in the first edition about 1915. It gives insight in astrology from the point of view of Helena Blavatsky.

A.o. Takens was also known as a painter, who painted the “Magere brug” a bridge crossing the Amstel in Amsterdam.

The book was also edited in English, German and French and gives a rather complete insight in the most important astrological techniques. For many chapters it still is worth wile to read.

I found a special way of birth-time corrections: the rule of Hermes. This rule tells us there is a relation between time of birth and the moment the impregnation has taken place.

This “epoch” moment is about 273 days before birth.

The rule of Hermes tells us the following:

The sign and degree where the Moon is positioned at the “epoch” moment is considered to become the Ascendant in the birth chart of the person concerned when the Moon is waxing at the “epoch” moment. When the Moon is waning, the AC will be the opposed sign of the Moons position.

I never heard before about this rule during my astrological life of over 30 years.

I am curious whether one of the readers has experience with it.

In any case, when I applied the rule on my own birth-chart and my wife’s.

When I apply it on my children it doesn’t fit., they have an “epoch” moment with a waning Moon, and it still indicates the sign rising.

C. Aq. Libra Astrology, techniques, and ethics

Coincidence in the solar system (2)

Already for many centuries, mankind is occupied in trying to understand the dynamics in our solar system. We already have understood many insights, however we still are looking for more.

Recently, I received a very interesting booklet as a present and was struck deeply by the special contents.

The booklet was about the order in our solar system and how they are presented to us on earth.

In the picture above, the mutual “dance” of Sun, Venus and Earth has been depicted.

Except Sun and Moon Venus is by far the clearest object in our skies.

As observed from earth, Venus makes in her orbital cycle 10 conjunctions (5 inner and 5 outer ones). Above we see the pattern of this orbit by Venus.

When Venus, Sun and Earth are in one straight line, with Venus between Sun and Earth, we call in an inner conjunction. In the figure above depicted as the 5 small “eyes” in the center of the figure.

Venus gives us her “kiss” once in 584 days at the moment of an inner conjunction, when she is closest to the earth.

In the lower part of the figure this is depicted as the small 5-pointed star in the center of the figure.

That this “kiss” is not happening accidental may become clear when we know every time this kiss takes place, Venus has the same area of her surface turned to the earth.

This is related to the very slow axial cycle (2/3 of an earth year) of Venus. The direction of this cycle is also in contradiction to every other planet’s cycle.

When Venus, Sun and Earth are in one straight line, with the Sun between Venus and Earth, we call in an outer conjunction. In the figure above depicted as the 5 points of the “big” star.

After every cycle of 10 (5+5) conjunctions (almost exactly 8 years) the next cycle takes place on nearly the same degrees (2 degrees earlier) of the ecliptic.

It takes about 1440 years to have the “same conjunction” back on a dedicated degree of the ecliptic.

In addition, it makes clear that the energies of inner and outer conjunction from Venus and Sun will be quite different at the moment of the conjunction.

Preface

In many expressions of our daily lives, repetitions play an important role.

This already begins early when we learn and are taught.

It happens around us in the yearly change of seasons and the way we live with it.

Every time again, these repetitions give new impulses in a process that seemed to have ended. It presents to us as a pattern, we therefore look for an explanation of everything happening in our lives.

In my library I discovered an interesting book. I thought not to have bought it myself, but it was there and indeed it was interesting.

It was about the concept of infinity, viewed from different points of view.

There were interpretations from nature science, mathematics, technology, philosophy, and symbolics. From symbolic we know the lemniscate as a symbol for infinity.

The lemniscate is the mathematical symbol for infinity. It represents all that cannot be expressed in whatever figure. Put upright, we see the figure 8. Between this figure 8 and the almost inconceivable infinity there is more. It is also the sign of respiration and healing from inside and outside.

Paganini was known for the “moto perpetuo” the endless motion in his music.

This moto perpetuo was a masterpiece played in endless repetitions of the same accords, being played quicker and quicker.

Here we see the limitation of mankind and can the relation with questioning the higher objectives of live be made easily.

Voltaire (French philosopher) adds an intriguing question. He makes difference between endless time and endless space and wonders whether mankind as limited creature can perceive an exact idea about infinity.

Lao Tse once defined the Tao as a Law of Nature helping mankind to pass the threshold of our limited life and thus arrive at immortality. Surpassing the own being is supposed to be the essence.

Also, in astrology and Tarot we know the concept of infinity.

In astrology e.g., the 8^th house and in the Tarot (Rider Waite) the cards Magician and 2 of Pentacles.

 

On the card Magician the lemniscate symbolizes eternal life given to us.

In addition, the card gives insight in the conscious way the Magician is going through the alchemistic process life is supposed to be.

On the card Pentacles 2 both pentacles caught in the lemniscate (yin and yang) teach us the lessons of cause and effect.

With the help of the 8^th house, we go through our alchemistic process of life, our transformation.

I wish all of you the coming month many events where your understanding of your personal alchemy will grow.

Preview for the month June

At the beginning of the month, we will be exposed to a challenging energy.

From one side, it is possible to achieve many objectives, on the other side we could experience a lot of opposition or even misuse of power.

In addition, we should consider our rational thinking can be veiled by enlarged and possibly not realistic ideals. Therefore, we could easily loose track and get lost.

Fortunately, this somewhat diffusing energy flows away. The planet Mars changes signs and enters Taurus. A nice energy to be in a natural environment and do your work.

Some work in the garden or a walk in a forest could fit with this energy.

About July 10^th we can come upon a dilemma between exaggeration and smart insights.

About the Full Moon of July 13^th, the balance is regained. Especially the implementation of new insights might be successful by now.

About July 15^th, we have high expectations, it is possible to realize some of our ideals.

About July 18^th, be careful in expressing your deepest feelings. They night be received out of context and meet little understanding.

From July 19^th and on we will become somewhat more royal in our communication.

Keep away from exaggeration, otherwise it is possible you get some unexpected and even threatening reactions.

When the Sun enters the sign Leo shortly after, this risk will remain.

About July 24th energy is beneficial. Everything goes as expected, the atmosphere is quite positive.

In many cases success might be assured.

The new Moon of July 28^th is on the 6^th degree of Leo.

The symbol of this degree is: A conservative old-fashioned lady is confronted by a hippy girl.

This represents the symbolic of becoming conscious of social values.

 

It is a good moment for a meditation to become conscious of the changes in energy.

It can help you to get insight in innovations needed in your life and the social limitations related to this.

Beneath the Sun we see two little boys, the seeds of future. They get energy from the cosmic energy net. We all have this background, sometimes we remember how this was.

Light, glad, simple, totally free, and still connected in one big togetherness.

Wisdom jumped around on radiant wings, from inside out or upside down, it was all the same.

Many children can’t forget this and right they are.

Once anchored on earth, at the end of their adolescence, they start their individual personally path to the source of All there is, the eternal light.

There is an implicit drive for growth to the light behind our Sun, the omnipotent source of our existence.

Who are these 2 boys? Possibly the immortal pair of twins Castor and Pollux, children of Zeus and Leda? These strange blue swimsuits hide very prudish their sexual organs. They still haven’t grown up and are connected to the original source.

The brightest stars of the Star sign Gemini are called after them. The alfa star Castor, the white one and most Northern and the beta star Pollux, colored orange gold.

The star sign Gemini is represented in heavens as 2 children with a lyre and an arrow in their hand.

As the sign Gemini is associated with the end of Spring, adolescence, and the element air, this sign is at the origin of all dynamic and cyclic activities in nature, from breath to all kinds of movement of body and mind.

In ancient Greece, the twins Castor and Pollux were represented as 2 opposite temperaments and attitudes. The emotional type, in many cases not able to finalize what has been started and the hyperactive type, not very sensitive and cunning, able to survive any situation.

In short, Gemini as the third sign of the Ecliptic symbolizes the binomial cosmic balance as day and night, mind and matter, active and contemplative living, being complementary.

It could be considered as the creative energy of the mind synthesizing passive and active eternal powers, represented by Aries and Taurus.

The myth of Castor and Pollux.

Leda was the wife of Tyndareus, the King of Sparta. Leda used to get a bath in the evening in a neighboring lake. Zeus spied upon her and had to seduce her for her attractiveness.

But how could he prevent Tyndareus would discover his adultery?

No problem, he changed in a swan, swam to Leda, and could become so near that he could have sexual intercourse with her.

Later that night Leda shared bed with her husband and made love together.

From this happening, very mysteriously from 2 eggs, two sons Castor and Pollux and two daughters Helena and Klytaimnestra were born.

Zeus was the father of Pollux and Helena, the others had Tyndareus as their father.

Castor and Pollux were very different. No wonder as they had different fathers.

Nevertheless, they looked very alike and became inseparable.

Pollux was immortal as son of Zeus, Castor was mortal.

On a certain day they got an argue with their nephews about the division amongst them of a flock of cattle they had robbed together.

The nephews, plaid a sneaky game and went away laughing with their loot.

Pollux and Castor did not accept this and so they came into a fight. Unfortunately, Castor and his nephews were killed and only the immortal Pollux stayed alive.

Sick of grief he went to Zeus, and seeing this brother love, he put the brothers in the skies, close together. It is to say, a certain part of the year.

Explanation

In many cultures we know myths of twins. The Romans had Romulus and Remus and their wolf mother.

We can also think of Kain and Abel, probably present on the Tarot card 9 of swords.

On the bed we probably see the scene of the brother killing.

The blanket, showing all zodiacal signs, is positioned on the legs of the mourning figure.

Between the signs of the zodiac and the planets, indicating the troubles and challenges for every part of life, we see roses.

The red rose hides a secret “sub rosa” under the rose, one would we wise to talk about his/her problems and grief and not to rest within them.

On all different versions of the card the Sun naked children have been pictured.

The Marseille tarot shows two boys. The Golden Dwan tarot shows a boy and a girl hand in hand. They celebrate the unity of nature. The Crowley tarot shows two children together performing a celestial dance. On the Rider Waite Tarot card, we only see one child. The child effortless contacts the horse without the use of a saddle or reins.

In myths of twins both halves are separated, but they keep longing for each other because they together are whole. Deep inside we all long for our soulmate or twin soul.

The surviving half of a twin, the other half we have never forgotten before we could get in contact.

Most people look for the other half outside as for instance in a partner where we find well known patterns of ourselves.

Myths of twins are about oppositions to be surpassed, for instance related to good or evil or the struggle we have with our shadow or inner enemy.

The contradiction in the case of Castor and Pollux is that one is mortal and the other immortal. Castor as a morning start incorporates our light side and Pollux as evening star our dark side.

Castor symbolizes the gift to live life form the bright side and bridge oppositions by communicating. This is possible by telling your story or to write it down.

Through Pollux the melancholic we are bound to look at the dark side of life.

Having overcome your problems by facing them and fighting against them you can reach a new balance.

Both stars represent a talent to write. Pollux is astronomically less strong and is closer to the earth.

This is remarkable as the Greek ascribe celestial and divine properties to Pollux.

Alhena

In the star sign Gemini, the fixed star Alhena is situated. Alena forming the left foot of Pollux also is called the wound in the Achilles heel.

In the Arab language Alhena means stigma of a horse or a camel.

As a heritage of your ancestors, you have received this stigma, indicating this life is important to you.

In this life, you must fulfill a mission, either conscious or not.

Possibly as a writer or a journalist. Our interest might be related to spiritual and philosophical subjects and moderation of conflicts. Nevertheless, Alhena is also about wounds on the feet and talent for arts.

The shadow side of Alhena is that, when you stay too long in the unreal world, earthly reality can harm you.

Note: Currently Alhena is on Cancer 10^th degree.

Litha, the feast of the Summer solstice

At the Summer solstice of St John, the whole creation is for a moment weightless and considered a coming home in an earthly paradise. There is no need for action for nobody.

Just swallowing light, the nectar for our souls. We fill up with light to be prepared for the days when the Sun is near the winter solstice.

The summer solstice traditionally is celebrated on the even of the solstice on June 21^st.

This is the longest day of the year, so the night before is the shortest night. The days will become shorter again until Yule, the winter solstice, and the shortest day.

The ancient Celts only knew 2 seasons, light and dark, summer and winter.

Contradictions as related to Castor and Pollux. Castor embodies the light side and Pollux the dark side. At Litha, everything reaches a climax, we celebrate a point of return, there can be harvested. The fertility of crop is at a max.

In ancient German Litha means slope of a mountain. It reminds to the movement of the sun.

To rise, to shine and finally to set. An old German myth is about the struggle between an Oak king or the God of the waxing light and a Holly king or the God of the waning light.

These two are in a struggle and naturally the Holly king wins. Until Yule when he makes place for the rebirth of the light, the young Oak king.

It is a magic and powerful process in nature, the process of dyeing and flowering.

Litha, the summer solstice is a joyful feast with music and fires.

In the past people went together and in ecstasy and unconscious longing to the hills to approach the Gods as near as possible, be filled with inspiration and to receive all good gifts of nature.

When we were on a summer holiday in the south of France, we laid down until late at night on stretchers looking in the skies.

In the southeastern skies shortly after sunset our attention was drawn by the sign of Scorpio.

With the help of celestial charts, we saw his mighty curled tail near the horizon.

In the western skies we saw Castor and Pollux, setting down and disappearing.

This short night we saw many star signs appearing and again disappearing, until early in the morning.

Until early in the morning we spied to discover Aldebaran the eye of the bull. Unbelievable all these star signs in dynamic motion. If we could keep following these movements it should be possible, also at day, to follow these movements internally.

So to say, it can be considered a process to observe without saying, to be touched by higher creative powers in order to be able to understand the gestures of the stars.

Isn’t this the real objective of astrology?

This booklet of author Mabel Collins had been published in the first issue in 1887.

Possibly some of you know it.

When I opened it, I had been struck immediately by the contents and understood it contains messages still being of value.

At least the texts invite to reflect and offer the possibility to apply in the spiritual development of humanity.

Rule 20: Don’t look for a special path. For every situation there is a most valid path.

However, the path can’t not be found only by devotion or religious contemplation, or by diligent proceeding or to observe life conscientious. Neither of these can help the disciple on his path. The entire human character should be used by those willing to follow the path.

Everyone is the path for him or herself, the truth, and the life.

The path is before us, the one who is willing to follow it has to make his/her own decisions, real decisions from the heart and all aspects of his/her being.

For the moment I leave it to the reader to try to understand these rules and get the answers.

Astrology and astronomy in daily practice.

Also, during the month of July, Venus will remain visible regularly. However, this will be everyday a little bit later before sunrise.

This month the planet Mars will be visible at sunset in the South.

Jupiter and Saturn are rising in the Southeast at that moment.

On July 16^th the Moon is close to Saturn, on July 19^th the Moon is close to Jupiter and on July 22^nd the Moon is close to Mars.

The June newsletter was sent when Mercury still was retrograde.

I put a question about your experiences and received from one of the readers the following reaction:

I once was the owner of a collection of strip books “the worlds of Aldebaran”.

I liked this, unfortunately I lost it due to a fire incident in my house. Also other strips got lost.

It is remarkable the fire took place in an earlier period Mercury was retrograde (February 2021). I was reminded to it.

Another reader about the many dreams and other special incidents appearing in her life.

She also told me she was preparing for a last “bucket” travel.

When walking with her dog, she came in a quiet place, where she found some garbage, a mirror, and a broomstick (as for a witch). In her horoscope we saw Neptune in transit on her natal Moon and Jupiter. This symbolizes the mirroring of the feeling in an enlarged way and different types of observation.

On the same moment the Moon made a transit opposition her natal Uranus.

This enlarges the need for freedom.

The witch broomstick indeed is a symbol for traveling, but also for fertility.

The Celtic feast of Beltane is known as the feast where the begin of the summer is celebrated and the witches are advised to select a new broomstick.

Put differently: new inspiration for the journey of the soul.

Shortly after she received a special offer for her journey.

On June 20^th I received a mail message from somebody I had contact with almost 20 years ago.

I remember to have explained the birth chart.

All these years we didn’t have contact, and now suddenly as from nowhere there was this message.

I now understand why. It has taken a full cycle of the Lunar Nodes from then until now.

Preface

Recently, I have read some inspiring and intriguing texts from Carlos Castaneda.

One of them:

All of us have observations, this is factual

However, what we observe is of different order,

Because we are learnt what we are expected to observe.

For all our observations we use our senses. We experience what we observe in many manners as picture, sense, smell, sound etc.

We have learnt to give it names, a name corresponding with what has been observed.

However, we can never be sure whether what we observe is identical to what other observers observe.

The other:

The unknown is hided for mankind

Possibly, veiled by a terrifying correspondence

However, it is within his reach

The unknown becomes known on a certain moment.

However, the unknowable remains unthinkable, unexplainable, inconceivable

It will never become known to us and still it is there.

Vertiginous, dazzling, and at the same time shocking in its expanse.

Aldous Huxley has written a book about this subject with the title “the doors of perception”.

This book and especially the sentence “There are things known and there are things unknown and in between are the doors of perception” inspired the band the Doors in the seventies of the last century to write psychedelic numbers as Riders on the storm.

This music opened other doors, like our dreams, ideas and creativity open various new doors enabling something unknown to become known. This is an example of realization of the potential.

The moment we are born is filled with potential.

With everything on our path, we only have to choose to experience it.

Part of the unknown becomes known to us through our experience.

By choosing, we also eliminate other possibilities, and other parts of all potentiality.

It remains unknown to us and due to our inherent limitations indescribable and inconceivable.

On our path of life, it is all about realizing your potential.

What the potential is, can be found in the birth chart.

This unique moment in the location-time-continuum, cannot be copied.

So, nevertheless the perspective, a lot will remain unknowable, it is the objective of life to discover and to learn to understand about all we did not learn until now, the contribution that is expected from us, individually and collectively.

To understand and realize this we are lucky to have many incarnations of non-existing “time”.

I wish you all a beautiful month full of insights with many dis-coveries and dis-closures of the ultimate goal of your presence in this life on earth.

Preview for the month June

From an energetic point of view, June can be expected to be a rather quiet month.

There hardly are difficult aspects. Many energies are related to the planet Venus.

Venus is in Taurus during the greater part of June and so Venus maybe powerful and related to love and nature. Venus has its influence in the material and relational sphere.

The emphasize of the question to think about “values” in someone’s life can be expected to be the most difficult one. In general, this month’s energies can be supposed to be harmonic.

When, on June 3^rd Mercury has turned direct and on June 4^th Saturn has turned retrograde it is possible we lose our focus and become somewhat disoriented.

About June 10^th our minds are eager and sharp, we have the possibility to solve complex problems.

About June 15^th we might run into unexpected events, we also could meet future friends.

Our need to communicate increases. We also can have the skills to understand difficult structures and to accept limitations.

We also might feel somewhat disoriented.

Don’t become too involved in fantastic ideals, they could turn out to be unrealistic.

About June 18^th we might behave a bit distant in our personal relations, however it could quickly change to the opposite when we arrive upon a rosa cloud.

This year’s summer solstice is on June 21^st at 05.11 pm (MET).

A good moment to wake up timely and meditate on the special purifying energy of this moment.

On June 23^rd we can communicate our ideas and inspirations with loved one’s and transform them to beautiful artistic expressions.

On June 28th we can become disoriented again, we also could feel somewhat dazzled.

During the New Moon of June 29^th, we should try to limit our expressive side. There is a chance for exaggeration.

This New Moon on the 8^th degree of Cancer is symbolized as: A group of rabbits dressed in human clothes, walk as if on parade.

It symbolizes the tendency of all forms of life to imitate higher forms as a stimulus to growth.

Guided meditation might be a beautiful expression of this.

The summer solstice

Aldebaran – the red eye of Taurus

Taurus – from Urania’s Mirror (ca. 1825)

This sturdy bull of the star sign Taurus can be found between the signs Aries and Gemini.

The bunch of stars called the Hyades form the head of the bull and at the left on the head we find the red star Aldebaran and on the right horn the double star El Nath, pure white and slightly gray.

The seven stars of the Pleiades mark his back.

Aldebaran is the brightest star of Taurus. It is a vast star, when it would be in the Sun’s position it would reach as far as the orbit of Mercury. It is a perfect example of a red giant.

Aldebaran has a diameter of 44 times the Sun’s diameter.

Red giants are relative cool stars and so is Aldebaran.

When we compare the color of Aldebaran with the color of other stars we see a blue Rigel and a yellow white Capella.

Mythological origin

Aldebaran is one of the fixed stars. They are a symbol of the cosmic order for their orbit around the Polar star and as a token of the not always recognizable light from above.

In many mythologies they were considered to be representations of people who died. The name Aldebaran originates from the Arab Al Dabaran meaning the bright one who follows.

This could be an explanation that Aldebaran follows the Pleiades in the skies. Possibly we should understand this as the hunter Orion following his prey.

The prey here should be considered as the Pleiades, the seven sisters being protected by the Goddess Artemis.

Centuries ago, Aldebaran was situated in Taurus, currently it is on the 10^th degree of Gemini, due to the precession of the equinox.

Taurus is a very old star sign originating from Mesopotamia more than 4000 years ago.

Taurus could also be the big bull from the paintings in the caves of Lascaux.

Being a striking bright star, in ancient Persia Aldebaran was considered one of the royal stars.

About 3000 BC these starts were considered the “guards of heavens”. The 3 other stars were Regulus, Antares and Formalhaut.

They were called royal for their connection to the equinoxes (spring- summer- autumn – winter). When the Sun passes one of these points a new season begins.

Several ancient monuments as Newgrange, Stonehenge etc. are created based on these 4 points. Especially the equinoxes of March 21^st (spring) and September 22^nd (autumn) are seen as points and moments to make contact to higher powers.

There are also astronomers making a connection between Aldebaran and the circle of stones in Big Horn. Old Indians probably used this place as an observatory to measure the appearance of Aldebaran just before sunrise in June.

The 4 Kings from the Tarot and their star

As all planets are connected to star signs, fixed stars are considered as guide and inspiration of certain star signs. A star sign should not be confused with zodiacal signs. The stars together form groups, imaging a figure. The zodiacal signs are related to star signs, but currently they are not in the same zodiacal position. They can be considered higher angelic energies. These 4 guards of heavens have a representative on earth and possibly are connected to the 4 kings of the Tarot.

These 4 kings add as guard additional value to the original meaning of the court cards.

Each king is the head of a series and represent the power and the maintenance of it, but also could act as protection.

The king reflects to certain properties represented by their element he has power over.

In general, one could say the king represents the ghost and from the mental condition he has power.

The pictures of the cards show real rulers, guiding us the way people react on responsibility and power.

Each king shows us, by his special attributes to what element he is connected, as for instance the lions on the crown of the King of Wands, symbolizing the element fire.

Aldebaran: position today: 10⁰ Gemini Theme: Develop the spiritual mind through matter

Aldebaran is the Guardian of the East and connected to the element earth and a such to the King of Pentacles.

This King is seated on a black throne, ornamented with bull heads, and his hand resting on a golden Pentacle. This indicates the smart way of dealing with money and matter.

The message of Aldebaran (with the red eye) has to do with the theme integrity. His energy helps us to stick to the real standards and values.

This could bring success, but we will also be confronted with moral dilemmas, for instance between mental reasons and instinctive motives.

It indicates the importance to admit to your beliefs. Don’t doubt the own principles is Aldebaran’s message, otherwise your success may disappear suddenly.

Regulus: position today: 0⁰ Virgo.

Theme: the will should guide the ambition and not reversed.

The star Regulus is the Guardian of the North and connected to the element fire and as such to the King of Wands. Regulus is also known as the heart of the lion. The King of Wands is a real lion king. He knows what he wants and his eagerness for actions becomes manifest e.g., in the execution of big projects.

The lions on the throne show his power. The lion who was supposed to be the King of all animals due to his power, courage, and character is also consecrated to Vulcanus, the God of Fire.

Regulus inspires the King of Wands and is a very earthly star, here it concerns especially becoming immortal in name, and about making good cheer.

This also indicates the pitfall of the King of Wands: his own limitations and weaknesses are unknown for him, as the mighty star Regulus also brings him often success.

The theme is to get rid of destructive ambition for power and learn to become familiar with the less agreeable parts of the character.

Antares: position today; 10⁰ Sagittarius.

Theme: give up presumption.

The star Antares, the rival of the warlike Ares (Mars) is the Guardian of the West and the element air and as such connected to the King of Swords.

The Persians considered Antares the God of the Death.

Thru his color red, Antares was associated danger, disaster, and evil power.

But, as Antares is a royal star, he is also a token for honor, esteem, and prosperity.

These blessings can be lost by a too obsessive behavior. Therefore, it is important to outbalance these tendencies and accepts that not everybody has the same drive.

However, keep realizing that negative properties you admit have a less destructive effect.

The throne of the King of Swords is ornamented with butterflies, the symbol of transformation, dead and resurrection. In general, the butterfly is a positive symbol of change and immortality.

From the dead alike cocoon, a beautiful butterfly is born.

To fly has always been symbolic to the escape from the physical limitations and the earthly live.

The message Antares is giving you, is to learn to accept all properties that have been neglected by you, your parents, your educators and to let them free. Antares is a star of conclusion.

Fomalhaut: position today: 4⁰ Pisces.

Theme: mental birth, spiritual initiation.

The star Fomalhaut is the Guardian of the South and related to the King of Cups and the element water.

Fomalhaut, in Arab ‘Fum al Hut’, is the central star of the Southern Fish.

He receives the stream of water from the pitcher of Aquarius.

Fomalhaut is connected to the Guardian of the South.

The theme of Fomalhaut brings mystical ideas, objectives, and dreams on your track.

In many cases, your thoughts and ideas are not ordinary, and this could bring confrontations with people around you. You may be involved in manipulation, but Fomalhaut connects you to collective wisdom and therefor personal success will not be an objective.

By its strong connection to the mystical world, it may be difficult to stay with the self.

As Fomalhaut is part of the mouth of a fish she also is related to the stream of water of life.

This mouth receives the water of life and prevents against flooding.

The water, as a symbol of the unconsciousness is guided so you will not be overwhelmed by it.

This gives a connection to unconscious insights. Fomalhaut is a very powerful star, and its theme is spiritual birth.

A beautiful moderation giving direction to our search for power, peace and property.

Planet cycles related to Neptune

In the May newsletter I paid attention to the conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune on the 12^th of April.

Every conjunction offers new opportunities to realize all potential related to energies of these planets in the coming years (decennia or centuries).

Conjunctions mark the begin of cycles and new developments. Especially conjunctions where the planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto are part of, can put an emphasis on a timeframe.

In the following table an overview of all recent conjunctions (of Pluto, Uranus, Saturn, and Jupiter) related to Neptune

Neptune and Uranus once in ca. 165 years 1993

Neptune and Saturn once in ca. 37 years 1989

Neptune and Jupiter once in ca. 12,9 years 2022

We see that every cycle of Pluto and Neptune contain 3 cycles of Uranus and Neptune and also 13 x 3 = 39 cycles of Jupiter and Neptune.

In 2 cycles of Neptune and Uranus we find approx. 9 cycles of Neptune and Saturn.

The main cycle is the Neptune and Pluto cycle, the other cycles are serving this.

A conjunction is an important starting point to discover the available potential. Whether and how it will become applicable depends on other energies becoming available in the period between conjunction and opposition.

All aspects the involved planets have during this period will have their influence on the outcome.

In the period between conjunction (=New Moon phase) and opposition (= Full Moon phase) the potential becomes unveiled and becomes real in the world.

At the moment of the opposition, it is clear what has been the “result” and also what still needs to be improved. The preparations for this will be done in the period between the opposition and the next conjunction. It is a interaction of patterns where the longest cycle will be predominately.

A comparison with the morphogenetic field theory of Sheldrake shows some equality.

The quantum field between 2 conjunctions is in a permanent mode for change. At the moment of conjunctions certain energies are that dominant that such a field is a result.

However, this field also seems to be permanently in an adaptive mode.

The longest lasting cycle is settled by the energy of Pluto and Neptune together.

The last conjunction of these 2 planets took place in 1891, the preceding one in 1395.

Pluto is about purification, of all that hinders the transformation of the earthly life to what it is supposed to become.

Being human beings and therefore limited, we continuously disagree and try with our best efforts to realize the own vision about what is the real way of purification.

This will inevitably lead to power-struggles. Pluto also makes available an enormous intrinsic power willing to realize the personal objectives.

Since 1940 we walk through a phase where Pluto and Neptune continuously are making a trine.

This period will last up to 2030.

After that we will have a waning square between Pluto and Neptune (about 2060), a trine (about 2110 and an opposition (about 2120).

The last opposition took place about 1625, this as a result of the energies between 1395 and 1625.

The waning sextile (since 1940) provides us with the energies needed to adapt to the ideals of 1891.

Several suitable examples of ideals from 1891 are:

• The founding of the socialist 1 May movement
• Pope Leo XIII published Rerum Novarum, an encyclic against the exploitation of laborer’s
• The first presentation of the kinetoscope (Edison)
• The patent on radiotelegraphy
• First plan for the Dutch “Deltaplan” (protection against the sea)
• The brothers Wright build a first prototype for an airplane.

We simply could admit that these issues were important ideals still relevant in our current community. And as follows:

• Appreciation of the factor labor, improvement of conditions for laborers, and fight against exploitation
• Improvement of mutual understanding and facilitation of other techniques for contact, fight against abuse of the media, and fight against monopolization of communication by groups in power.
• Safety and security in relation to extreme outbreaks of water.

They are all issues we can suppose to remain relevant the coming decades.

About 1930 we had a period with (semi) squares (45 degrees) between Neptune and Pluto.

It represents the economic malaise by the Beurskrach in 1929 (Jupiter square Neptune).

Value growth without substantial back-up, the upcoming fascisms, and the enormous poverty among workers. In NL we managed to finalize the “Afsluitdijk” an important milestone in the struggle against the sea. We also have seen the introduction of the first broadcasting stations.

It was also the period of memorable long-distance flights, such as of Charles Lindbergh (first transatlantic flight) and the London Melbourne race.

We still have a couple of years the opportunity to improve the effects of the Neptune and Pluto challenge and ideals.

Our Deltaplan was supposed to be finalized, however the rising levels of the oceans asks new attention.

Also, the position of workers is again in discussion. In our Western society we need them and still we try to make profit out of them.

Communication is more in the picture than ever, for example 5G networks, fake news, communication from universe.

Having passed this period of sextiles, we can expect the settlement of the use of the energies involved. About 2060, the square will clarify what has been neglected and should be taken care of in the coming period. Where we have failed to improve in purification, we can expect comparable reactions as we had about 500 years before (about 1565).

By then, we had big floods inundating low parts of the Netherlands.

Communication expanded enormously however in a much more basic form (using ships discovering new worlds). But we also saw monopolization and the negative effects of it (VOC).

The fight against suppression also was on state. In Europe we had big wars the 80-year and 30-year war).

Neptune is about unpersonal ideals, a better world in whatever form. In our visions, this better world can take an enormous dimension and lead to extremities. At least extreme for the realists among us.

Under way in a complete Pluto and Neptune cycle we come upon 3 Uranus and Neptune cycles.

The first one was in 1498, the following one in 1663, the 3^rd one in 1828.

We already also have seen the first one in the new cycle in 1993.

Uranus brings us an urge to innovate and together with Neptune an urge to innovate in borderless ideals.

About 1498 Leonardo unfolded a number of astonishing ideas, as for instance a design for an airplane, a submarine, a tank.

In 1993 we had seen the reunification of Germany and the foundation of the European Union in its current format.

Saturn and Neptune are conjunct once in every 37 years. The last time in 1989, this was also of influence on the happenings in Europe, widening of limitations.

The next conjunction between Saturn and Neptune will take place in 2026. We can expect the real purified outcome of what is happening between Europe and Russia.

Saturn is about limitations and is also related to the structuring serving community.

So, we can expect new boundaries, allowing a more controllable society.

So, ideals are to be realized, however it should be in a way, it can lead to a stable community serving all participants in this community.

Jupiter and Neptune have a conjunction every 13 year, every time in the next sign in the ecliptic.

After 13 conjunctions, the cycle is accomplished and will return at the same place.

A planetary conjunction gives a bundling of energies, new opportunities can be created. On a mundane level it is depending on the energies of the planets involved. On the individual level it is depending on the patterns in the birth chart. The energy is universal (everybody can sense it). The exposure of the energy is individual (depends on the horoscope and karma of the person involved.

Also, during the month of June, Venus will remain visible regularly. However, this will be everyday a little bit later before sunrise. And not to forget in June, the nights are very short (on the Northern hemisphere) so we should be prepared to wake up early.

Also, in June Mars will be visible in the South.

At the beginning of the month Mars is still close to Jupiter, as the month proceeds, the distance between these 2 planets will grow.

On June 22^nd the Moon will be accompanied by Jupiter, a day later the Moon will be together with Mars and on June 26^th the Moon will be close to Venus.

On May 10^th Mercury turned retrograde.

I received a question from a friend who happened to have a crash of her computer. She lost a lot of data. She asked me whether I had saved some specific information I looked up for her in the past.

When Mercury started this retrograde episode, this came out, and fortunately I still had this information and could help her.

A week later I did some shopping. When I had to pay, I couldn’t find my wallet.

Fortunately, I reminded I had some cash with me in my pocket.

I forgot twice my handy, so I could not be phoned in this time. Fortunately, the phone calls I missed were not very urgent.

A reader of the newsletter informed me about some striking happenings in her life.

She had the retrograde Mercury in her 3^rd house of short travelling and communication.

At first the communication cable for internet was broken, it was impossible to communicate for 2 days.

Later when she made a road trip, she heard some strange sounds while driving the car.

When she stopped and had asked for help it turned out she lost one of the screws that was supposed to fasten the wheel. She just had stopped in time. Before traveling she had drawn a card indicating protection underway.

Jupiter in Aries

On May 11th Jupiter has left the sign of Pisces (for a short time) and entered Aries.

This has caused a big change in energy.

Jupiter remains in Aries until October 28^th, and then returns to Pisces until December 20^th.

From December 20^th Jupiter will be in Aries again and will stay in this sign until May 16^th, 2023.

In a positive sense Jupiter will enable growth and development, harmony, justice, and a high standing.

In a negative sense, a passage of Jupiter can also result in exaggeration, unsatisfiable materialism, and a lack of high standards.

In the sign of Aries this energy is directed on new initiatives. Where Jupiter is involved, there will always be a positive ground. In principal Jupiter can be considered beneficial.

Early Aries born (between March 21^st and 30^th) can have a lot of help from Jupiter.

The type of assistance will be depending on the area of life where Jupiter passes.

A less positive aspect of Jupiter can be the tendency for exaggeration (also in acting).

During the journey through Aries Jupiter will not make difficult aspects, so I expect this will be a positive period for all Aries born.

Preface

The experiences in our journey in life can bring us a concatenation of astonishment.

This is not likely to be identical for every individual.

The moment you are born, you can start to make use of a richness of “luggage”, supposed to be helpful in your live. Part of this “luggage” is clear: your body, the family where you were born, the social community: other parts of your luggage are less evident.

And therefore, are as such considered doubtful by many of us (your karma from earlier incarnations, your talents and preferences as can be found in your birth chart, etc.).

The essence is that everyone has an own specific path of life. On this path each decision is leading for the following decision. There is no possibility to do it twice.

As soon as you have decided, you must deal with it. You can consider repairing the effects of earlier decisions, however everything considered to decide or to repair will remain part of your life.

How can you manage to prevent to make choices you would like to repair the consequences of?

By not making a choice. I don’t think so, for this can also lead to regret.

By making a choice to favor others? By following the own ego? By choosing consciously?

There is no good or bad choice. Every choice indicates a next event on your path and will has its results in whatever outcome. You will have to cope with them.

I already remarked that life is concatenation of astonishment. To become aware leading to consciousness that is the essence. It will be unfolded on your unique path, stipulated by your own choices (routine, aware or conscious). But how can I prevent myself from disasters, some of you may question. Do you choose it yourself?

In some cases, yes, I guess, in most cases no, as what happens can be seen as a result of personal or collective choices. Think about the story of Lot in the Bible at the time of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorra, where finally Lot saw his family making other decisions, causing Lot to remain single, by adopting the angelical advice.

In our lives, we continuous have to make choices, sometimes in an intensity as Lot. And again, we could ask, what is the right choice?

Follow your heart, choose and fight in justice.

Preview for the month May

The first 2 weeks of the month will still be under the influence of the solar eclipse of April 30^th.

As is visible in the following figure this eclipse was only visible in the southern hemisphere especially Chile and Argentine.

The energy will remain of influence especially for those having a planet or other factor on the 11^th degree of Taurus in their birth chart.

Another factor of influence will be Uranus. Uranus is direct again since the beginning of 2022 on the same degree as this solar eclipse. This can result in unexpected actions and changes related to messages for individual and humanity. This degree urges for cultivation and development of awareness.

For instance, for people born about April 30^th, July 31^st, October 1^st, and December 30^th there could be a message.

The yearly conjunction of Sun and Uranus on May 5^th can carry a liberation aspect. Nice to have this on the official Liberation Day of the Netherlands and to remind those still in a need for liberation, in the first place to develop the own potential and in addition to make this effort also for a better world.

About May 2^nd, we could fall in love easy. For those who are single a beautiful perspective, for those already in relation an aspect to be cautious as we still live in eclipse time.

About May 4^th the energy is helpful to carry through important changes successfully.

In general, this will take little effort, provided we also consider the interest for the whole community.

Until May 10^th in general the energy is positive and constructive.

On this day Mercury turns retrograde. Related to the solar eclipse energy an aspect to be careful.

We could easily get robbed or betrayed in some way. Be careful about those speaking too nice words promising luck and wealth.

On May 11^th Jupiter enters Aries, this will give those born under Aries wings of prosperity.

But be aware not to be too egocentric or to exaggerate.

On May 13^th we can meet very interesting people. They could play an important role in your next future and help us to recognize new challenges on out paths.

About May 15^th we could feel opposition in what we plan to do. Follow your intuition, it can inform you about the changes needed to become successful.

The Full Moon of May 16^th ends the period of the solar eclipse.

About May 18^th we could become rather disoriented in our actions, we even could become literally “of the road”. It could also happen your motivation to make efforts could be far away.

About May 19^th we could possibly be successful in our plans, in many cases we will be successful.

About May 20^th we could be confronted with an abundance of communication. However, it could also be of use for our further development.

On May 21^st the Sun leaves Taurus and enters Gemini.

It is also the moment where the Sun is intensively related to the energy of the Pleiades.

For those people having a Pleiadean background it could be a very positive experience.

In general, everything happening around us will be peaceful.

About May 23^rd our activities will be directed to improvement of structures.

About May 25^th the world will become more energetic, we feel more need for a physical activity.

It will be much more comfortable to put our energy in it.

About May 27^th we will have corrections on the Stock market, but also some unstable relations may come to an end.

The day behind, when Venus enters Taurus, we will become more oriented on nature around us. It could possibly bring a new love. We could perform important efforts successfully.

About the end of the month, there is a New Moon energy, another transition moment with possibility for new choices. This time on the 10^th degree of Gemini.

According to the astrological mandala this degree is symbolized by: “An airplane performing a nosedive”. It is the degree symbolizing the vast capabilities of mankind, but also makes clear the dependency to powers of nature.

This is also the degree where the fixed star Aldebaran resists. In the next newsletter there will be an article related to this.

It could possibly inspire us in the many areas we unjustly think to be superior and to come to a better insight.

The Pleiades and their mythological background

This month, the Sun is projected in the Pleiades, also known as the Seven Sisters.

This star sign is situated in the skies between the signs Taurus and Gemini.

On May 21^st the Sun is exactly on the first degree of Gemini, where also Alcyone, the central star of the Pleiades is situated.

It inspired Eleonore Oldenburg to write the following contribution.

The stars of the Pleiades are named after seven sisters in Greek Mythology.

They were the daughters of Atlas and Pleione. After their dead Zeus placed them together in the heavens as a star sign, also called “the Seven Sisters”. They are placed in the last degrees of the Sun sign Taurus and the first degrees of Gemini.

The Seven Sisters are also known as the Oceanids, the Water women or Ice virgins, due to their association with water in whatever kind: seas, lakes, rivers, snow, ice, or rain.

They have beautiful names: Maia, Electra, Merope, Alcyone, Asterope, Celaeno and Taygete.

Their mother Pleione was a daughter of the sea gods Oceanus and Tethys, which were part of the big group of nymphs together called “Oceanids”. This group was born shortly after the creation of the world.

Pleione married Atlas and together they gave life to seven daughters, later known as the Pleiades, after their mother.

Maia

In Greek mythology, Maya is the oldest of the Pleiades. She is considered an earthly Goddess and midwife. She is known for her exceptional beauty, shyness, and isolated life.

Her special traits are intelligence, creativity, water, and magic.

Her name is also related to the Buddhistic concept “veil” and/or illusion.

As the only one of the Seven Sisters she staid living on the mountain Cyllene in the caves of Arcadia. “Maia” is Latin for mother; in other languages it also means caregiver or “the Great”. The Romans considered Maia to be as Goddess of Spring, for this reason we name our 5^th month May. Once Maia was shining brighter than her sisters, nowadays Alcyone the second sister is the brightest. Maia is also called “Bona Dea”, the Good Goddess.

As soon as Zeus sees Maia, he immediately falls in love with her. Together they give birth to Hermes, later put as the messenger of his father. To be able to carry out these tasks correctly, Hermes received as attributes golden sandals and helmet, to be able to travel quick as an arrow through the skies. As the only one of the Gods, he was allowed to travel between the world and the Hades, the Underworld. He also guarded the death on their journey to the Hades. Therefore, Hermes is called the messenger of the Gods. Maia allows you to lift the veil of the earthly manifestation to discover the real nature of the universe and to protect you to get lost in your illusions. When you become aware of your illusions and the fake world you become a better insight in what really matters.

Electra

Electra leaves the parental home and settles on the isle Samothrace. When Zeus discovers her, he also falls in love with her. At first Electra is not interested and flies to the Palladium, but after a while Zeus manages to capture her heart. From gratitude Zeus creates a beautiful palace for her, where she becomes a Priest to honor the holy rites of mother Goddess Rhea.

He also promises that Electra, together with his sisters will be placed as a star sign in heaven “the Seven Sisters”. Due to her relationship with Zeus, Electra has a good esteem on the island and becomes a queen.

Although being happy with her children Electra, has a lot of grief for her father Atlas. Due to a punishment by Zeus, he must carry the arch of heavens. When Electra has given birth to her youngest son, Emathion, Aphrodite visits her with the small baby Harmonia.

She tells Electra that she is not allowed to raise her newborn baby herself. She asks Electra to do this for her.

Electra agrees and raises the 2 children. When Harmonia is old enough to get married, Zeus orders her to marry Cadmus. Cadmus is unknown for her. At the wedding the young married couple leaves the home and Electra stays behind in despair.

After a while Zeus keeps his promise and creates the star sign the Pleiades with Electra and her sisters.

Electra who is representing the stone amber is also known for her miraculous energetic appearances.

When you rub an amber stone, it becomes a negative electric load.

From the Greek word electron our word electricity is derived.

Mellie Uyldert (a well-known Dutch astrologer and natural healer) calls the amber stone “a golden sun gift for the human heart”.

The miraculous Electra also gave birth to Iris, the rainbow.

The Greek understood most natural appearances; however, the rainbow was something miraculous. The rainbow Iris was considered a message of Zeus.

She passed his decisions and approval to mankind. When the Greek had a big problem and a rainbow appeared in the heavens, it was considered a positive message and approval of Zeus.

Alcyone

Alcyone is the 3rd sister of the star sign of the Pleiades. She is one of the daughters being hunted by Orion. Zeus protected them by changing them in doves.

Later he placed them as a Star sign in the heavens, where they still can be seen.

From the Pleiades it is told that that cry without stopping for the loss of a sister, the star Asterope. Asterope has become less clear during the centuries. Another explanation is that they cry for the loss of the matriarchy.

The fog around the Pleiades makes a link between Alcyone and to see. Fog limits your possibility to see and forces you to look inside. In Arcadia the God of the seas Poseidon, together with Alcyone, gives birth to 3 children, a daughter and 2 sons.

Merope

According to one of the myths about the Pleiades one of the Seven Sisters, called Merope, was ashamed about her relation to Sisyphus, an ordinary mortal being and not a God, like her sisters. Therefore, her star was doomed to be less bright. However, Merope is, according to modern catalogs, not the weakest shining star of the Pleiades. The star Celaeno is also named the lost Pleiade. Merope becomes a son of Sisyphus, Glaucus. As a punishment for his bad behavior at life, he is ordered after his death to roll a heavy stone uphill. When he almost has reached the top of the hill, the stone rolls back and Sisyphus must start over again (Sisyphus labor).

Celaeno

Celaeno is the name of the so-called “lost Pleiade”.

The name is often translated as “melon” or “dark of skin”.

In Arcadia Celaeno becomes 3 children (suns) from Poseidon. Her star is supposed to be less bright than her sisters. According to the myth this is because she once has been hit by lightning.

Celaeno was a winged nymph, she had the head and the body of a women but the claws of a bird of prey.

Romantic painters however paint her without wings or claws and put an emphasis on het light-footedness as a creature of light.

Asterope

About Asterope only little is known. Her name just means “star”.

In mythology she leaves the parental home and settles in Pisa, where she starts a relationship with Ares, the God of war. She gives birth to Oenomaus from this relationship.

It is said that Orion still is hunting for Asterope through the skies. Fortunately, Zeus also protected her by placing her in the Seven Sisters.

She is still seen as one of the weaker sisters, possible because her light is less bright.

Taygete

Her name means long neck. After leaving the parental home Taygete goes to Korinthos where she sleeps with Zeus. In the myth Taygete is not open to the advances of Zeus. The Goddess of the hunt, Artemis helps her by changing her in a deer, helping her to escape.

Together they become a son, who is raised with love by Taygete.

The Empress in the Rider Waite tarot has a Crown with many stars. They represent the 12 signs of the zodiac and the 12 qualities needed to approach every individual type of mankind. On her neck we see a string with seven pearls.

She reminds to the Goddess Sesjat from ancient Egypt, where this represents the Pleiades.

In the ancient empire of Persia, they founded the order of the Pleiades. The name of empress Soraya means Pleiade. The seven stars were put as diamonds on the medallion of the order.

About the Pleiades exist many writings. Christiane Beerlandt, a Flemish author and philosopher of life writes about them in her book: Alcyone or the distorted self. She believes Alcyone has a symbolic meaning for whole mankind and that Alcyone, the great Sun in the Star sign of the Pleiades will move from Taurus to Gemini about the change of the century.

The book ‘Where are you really from’ written by Jo Amidon with the Teachers of the Universal Mind gives a description of the planetary descent of those originating from the Pleiades. This might be acceptable as many of the native culture from North America, are convinced they have a Pleiade descent. These people even think whole mankind is related to the Pleiades.

Pleiades are people having a deep and never fainting longing for peace and happiness for everybody. They possess of a nice and soft energy where others, like to get pleasure of.

When angry, Pleiades exhibit a passive aggressive behavior hoping others will make notice of it and answer it, without the need to discuss it.

Pleiades have a strong belief and trust. Already young they have a firm resoluteness, a deep knowing of the relation with the divine power, even in the darkest moment of time.

The Nebra slice of heavens

The slice of heavens found near Nebra (Saxion-Anhalt in Germany) is a witness that the Pleiades already were known in ancient periods (the bronze age).

This gold-inlaid slice is found in 1999, its origin is calculated at about 1750 before Christ.

It is probably used as a sacrifice for a man who died and buried together in his grave.

On the slice we see, next to the Full Moon (some interpretations say the Sun), and a slice of the Moon, several star signs. We clearly can see the Pleiades top left to the slice of the Moon.

Originally there were two horizon’s one at the left and one at the right side) and beneath we see the solar boat, where Gods were supposed to travel with between the stars.

With some good will, we could also recognize the Ursa Major (great Bear) above the Pleiades and Cassiopeia (above the solar boat).

The slice of Nebra is the earliest known object showing the nocturnal skies in its natural shape, it is pictured with stars as brilliant dots and not as Gods or mythical animals.

The slice is possibly also used by farmers for the planning of their harvest and shows that already in the Bronze Age, there was knowledge about the stars.

Light on the path & through the gates of gold (3)

This booklet of author Mabel Collins had been published in the first issue in 1887.

Possibly some of you know it.

When I opened it, I had been struck immediately by the contents and understood it contains messages still being of value.

At least the texts invite to reflect and offer the possibility to apply in the spiritual development of humanity.

Issues in this contribution are:

Rule 9: Only long for what already is inside yourself

Rule 10: Only long for what already is higher than yourself

Rule 11: Only long for what is inaccessible

Rule 12: Because the light of the world is in yourself.

That is the only light that can shine on your path.

If you can’t see it in yourself, it is useless to look for it elsewhere.

It goes beyond you because you lose yourself when you reach it.

It is inaccessible because it always withdraws when you can almost touch it.

You will enter the light but never touch the flame

A beautiful paradox, guiding you in your search for the light in your own life, hided in yourself.

Let it shine as a beacon for the world around you and keep it shining.

Planet returns

Most astrologers are familiar with Solar and Lunar returns, indicating the return of the Sun and the Moon on their position at birth. The chart depicted on these moments gives information about creative accents for the coming year (solar return) and emotional accents for the month to come (Lunar return). Also, the returns of other planets can give valuable and interesting information.

Most of us know about the Saturn return and their effects and influence on our lives for the next 30 years to come. The first return is shortly before our 30^th anniversary. It gives us information about structure and boundaries and how to integrate them in your life in the following 30 years.

The second return, about our 59^th anniversary helps you to reflect on the results of the years behind and the changes we should make for the 30 years to come.

Some of us will be blessed by a 3^rd Saturn return on the age of 88. In most cases it helps you to understand your life and may give you wisdom for the years to come.

Less known are the returns of the planets Mercury, Venus, Mars, and Jupiter.

Returns of Mercury take place yearly, on the moment Mercury passes on the same degrees as at birth of a person.

When Mercury is retrograde at that moment, we can see 3 returns within a short period of time (2 months). So, every individual can have 1-3 returns every year.

This year this will be the case for those who have Mercury on one of the following degrees:

• Capricorn 25^th degree to Aquarius 11^th degree,
• Taurus 27^th degree to Gemini 5^th degree,
• Virgo 25^th degree to Libra 9^th degree.

Each return gives information about the accents in the period until the following return.

The horoscopes of the moments of return give information about the mental processes for the coming period until the next return. These processes have to do with the way we communicate or the way we use information and learn.

Persons with Mercury on one of the above-mentioned positions in their birth chart can experience intense mental processes.

A Venus return also takes place every year on the moment Venus is on the same position as in a person’s birth chart. A Venus return gives information about how we will seek to make loving contacts to others to become more whole. It also gives information about the way we will approach values in our lives.

Here also, we can have 3 returns in a period of 3 months, when Venus is retrograde. Especially people with Venus in their birth chart in Capricorn (between the 12^th and 27^th degree recently have had these 3 returns in a row. This can have stimulated a more intense process of revaluation in this period. Each return gives information about the accents in the period until the following return.

The house position on the moment of the return indicates what should be revaluated.

A Mars return takes place when Mars is at the same position as in a person’s birth chart.

It takes place on average every 23 months.

Mars represents the principle how we wish to assert our individuality, in other words how we will act to meet our personal needs as presented in the birth chart.

At the end of 2022 Mars will turn retrograde for a period of approx. 3 months in Gemini.

People with Mars in Gemini between the 9^th and 26^th degree will experience a triple Mars return.

Especially for those people a sabbatical might be a good idea.

Each return gives information about the accents in the period until the following return.

Don’t forget also to consider the house position of the return indicating the area of life that should be considered.

A Jupiter return takes place when Jupiter returns at the same degree as in someone’s birth chart.

It takes place once in every 12 years. A Jupiter return indicates by house position and aspects areas where personal development and growth might have a focus in the coming years.

Also, Uranus might arrive at the position in the birth chart in someone’s life.

This takes place about the age of 84.

For the generation born in the period 1935 to 1940 this return will come together with the oppositions of Neptune and Pluto with their birth position. This is opposition could be considered as a kind of full moon phase, where will be weighted what has been realized in our lives (for Neptune opposition Neptune: about our ideals, and for Pluto opposition Pluto about purification and matters of power).

A new orbit of Uranus will be influenced by the results of this weighting process.

The house position and aspects can give you information about areas to focus on for new ideas and freedom.

Also, in April we every now and then had the opportunity to see Venus and Mars early in the morning shortly before sunrise.

Venus is slowly coming nearer to the Sun and Mars is making more distance, so Mars will be visible about midnight.

Mars even passed Saturn in April on the 4^th and 5^th and will also pass Jupiter on the 30^th of May.

On May 22^nd the Moon is on the same degree as Saturn, on May 25^th the Moon is on the same degrees as Mars and Jupiter, and on May 27^th it is on the same degree as Venus.

Also, Jupiter and Saturn will be visible, this time around midnight in the South.

On April 12^th the planets Neptune and Jupiter were together on the 24^th degree of Pisces.

It was a special day with beautiful peaceful energies.

This conjunction takes place once in every thirteen years in the succedent star sign, in 2035 this will be in Aries. The conjunction with Jupiter is the most beautiful experience for a passage of Neptune through a star sign.

The last time Neptune and Jupiter were together on the same degree in Pisces was om March 17^th, 1856. Two weeks later, the peace treaty of Paris was signed, ending the “Crim” war.

This war was, besides from being the first modern war with many victims also known from Florence Nightingale, an English nurse who took the initiative to care for the many wounded victims.

Her behavior was the origin for the founding of the World Health Organization and the Red Cross a couple of years later.

On April 15^th, 2022, the planet Mars also entered Pisces. Possibly this could also lead to a growing aversion against this Ukrainian war.

However, at the moment of the conjunction in 1856, the Sun was also in Pisces, this time it was in Aries.

On April 30^th we have a solar eclipse. Often this is an indication for famous and honored people to pass away. This time we saw the dead of (119 years old) Kane Tanaka, a Japanese woman being the oldest (except one) living at her moment of death. In the Netherlands a famous artist (Henny Vrienten) passed away. He was loved by a whole generation for his inspiring and innovative music.

Unfortunately, this eclipse is also symbolic for the lives taken in the war in Ukraine.

The role of the Moon in spiritual development

In the March edition of this newsletter there was a contribution from Leidy de Groot about the spiritual meaning of the Lunar Nodes in our lives.

In addition, she wrote the following article about the role of the Moon in our spiritual development.

Together with the Sun, the Moon is an important duet for lives of mankind.

They form an inseparable two-unity being each other’s opposite and being complementary as well.

This is indicated in the Tai-Chi-symbol, Yin and Yang, light and dark.

The Moon as the primeval symbol of the ‘Great Mother’ incorporates the ‘Yin’ principal in the Chinese philosophy. The half circle of the Moon symbolizes the soul where our emotions and deepest agonies are hidden. The waxing Moon symbolizes fertility.

The Moon is the relation with our inner female dimension: the Anima.

Our rootedness in ourselves, in our family, in our personal live, our parental home, our own home, the community and the society.

It is of influence on the manner we connect with others and how we look for certainty and protection and how we care for ourselves, our children, and other people we share feelings with.

The Moon is crucial for our feelings and our receptivity. When in our youth the feelings were suppressed, we repress our Lunar consciousness and a distorted image of our emotional needs and of the Anima and Animas will be the result.

When, by a transit of Pluto, the deepest Mother instinct in ourselves is awakened, we will be confronted with our instincts (conditioned behavioral patterns) from the collective unawareness. In a flash of recognition, we can become conscious of the cosmic connection in ourselves. This can cause a certain embarrassment and an intense focus in yourself causing you to be tossed to and fro between emotions and instincts.

You might finalize existing unsatisfactory relationships to give space for a new one.

This is the destructive and transforming power of the Plutonic cosmic energy. The wish to unify with the male principle might become obsessive.

When you are unaware of your real needs, you might from a feeling of an unsatisfactory self-image, look for external compensation in matter, nurture and relations projecting your needs on the other. This is supposed to fill the emptiness inside as a compensation and substitute for the inner hunger you feel in yourself. However, this is not going to work, the emptiness in yourself remains and cuts you off from your source, your own creativity and spirituality.

Result: unquietness by a non-stop looking for your reason to be, physical and emotional complaints, tiredness, stomachache, obsession for nutrition and a big dependency from relations going to dominate your life.

Through introspection you can discover what your real needs are, feel them and integrate them in your life. This will be helpful for the instinct to manifest as a creative power.

Carl Gustav Jung about this: “What is inside us, but not helpful in life, develops against ourselves. Everybody neglecting his/her instincts will be attacked by them unexpectedly”. What you deny about your feelings will turn against you in a destructive way.

Then, emotions and instincts can overwhelm you without giving any possibility to control it.

When one can’t find rest, this can lead to depressions and vulnerability for emotional situations.

It is the longing in oneself source causing this vast restlessness.

By then, it is necessary to go deep inside to discover the wounded child and heal it.

It is about the ability to penetrate in the deepest corners of the self, the unconscious and the dark to connect the conscious with the unconscious.

The Sun, the basic symbol of the God and father is the light of the rational consciousness.

The light of the Sun can’t enlighten the darkness of the unconscious. This light sets to slender and rises again to replace the night. The light of the Sun can’t enlighten the darkness of the soul but can be helpful to destroy what he we like fin the unconscious.

See for example the myth where Psyche lost her lover Cupido by lighting a candle to be able to see him in the night in stead of heaving trust in his love he offered in the darkness.

Besides the stars, only the Moon can, by reflecting the light of the Sun, enlighten the darkness.

The casted light helps to save feelings and emotions of the soul.

The moon is reflecting the sunlight like emotions mirror the deepest feelings of the soul.

Therefore, the Moon symbolizes the mirrored and sensitive thinking.

What we symbolically can experience trough the Sun will be transferred emotionally through the Moon or repressed.

This is leading for the way we react emotionally.

According to Freud the unconscious is the psychological area of the Moon, where unpleasant events that took place in our lives are hidden.

As the Moon feeds the memory with the light of the past, the Moon also gives us the possibility to remember. Through the unconscious side of the Moon, we can hide unpleasant experiences and put them far away to be able to forget them. But this is not how it works. When we are not aware of what we have hidden in our unconsciousness we make an unconscious projection of al this on the others.

Sometimes unconscious feelings can have a disturbing influence. The shadow of the unconscious will keep following us until we have revealed the hidden feelings and made them conscious. Not through the Sun (the rational thinking) but through the Moon (the irrational), we can become entrance to the darkness of the unconscious and illuminate it. It helps us to use our roots to discover our most intimate feelings.

When we succeeded to penetrate in the darkness, we should not stay there and swallow in feelings of self-pity, overwhelming us. We should try to use the healing power of the Moon to free us from anger, fear, pain, frustrations, and disappointment to release it forever.

This gives a feeling of rebirth. A child is born from darkness. We have become conscious of our Moon feelings, our roots, our basics our Anima. Then we can become aware of our creative talents, imagination, intuition, instinct, and sentiment, enabling us to create a nurturing life.

Our growth and evolutionary development are indicated by the Moon and her placement in sign and house of the birth chart. The sign where the Moon is placed indicates the inner power you can possess of to feel safe and protected. The house and aspects to other planets indicate the areas of life and possibilities to realize your needs and wishes and to release your karmic connection to the past. When we do not feed the needs of our Moon, we will manifest our needs in a compulsive way.

As the Moon makes a monthly orbit around our earth every month it will come back on the degree she was when we were born.

The lunar horoscope we can make at that moment, indicates the important energies can be expected for the coming 29 days. It is a kind of calendar to be used to be prepared and become aware of the energies you can expect.

When we use secondary progressions of the Moon (one day for a year) the progressive New Moon gives an indication of the process for the 29 years to come. House and sign of the progressive New Moon are the starting points for this. The phases of the Moon build during these years further on what has been achieved.

The secondary progressive phases of the Moon give direction to the flow of energy in your life. It is nothing else but following the waves of the washing and waning phases of the Moon (Bernadette Brady).

Preface

When you try to understand the insights of the quantum theory, you may come upon many questions.

The most important is: What is the reason that I experience what I experience and think about things in the way I think about them?

According to the quantum theory we ourselves are the reason for this.

We create by our thoughts the actual reality. Only through our observation things become visible already being there as potential.

This is a beautiful perspective for our future. In general, we would like to live in a loving peaceful and social world. Apparently, we can create this ourselves by our thoughts and acts and drives.

What is necessary to make this happen is pure intention, transformed in frequencies of eternal cosmic love and understanding and recognizable for the quantum.

Let we, together, take care for vibrations needed to enable this.

Drop your fears, think filled with love and use these qualities to realize your dreamlike future.

Alan Oken (in memoriam)

Some weeks ago, I received the message of the dead of Alan Oken.

Alan was known from his soul-centered approach to astrology and has written a number of books dedicated to this subject.

Alan passed away on March 5^th on his beloved home island Bali, where he spent most of his time.

Alan has chosen a particular energy to go over to the other side.

At the very moment the Lunar Node axis made a transit on the AC / DC axis in his birth chart.

At the same time the actual conjunction of Sun and Jupiter was conjunct Venus in his natal chart.

He passed away in full inner peace. I once had the opportunity to attend one of his inspiring lectures in Amsterdam, it was a very impressive experience.

Preview for the month April

We live in embarrassing times, where many events do not fit in our ideas about a peaceful world based on cosmic love.

There is a lot of communication and analysis, and opinions are built on that.

This will continue this month, with Mercury (messenger of the Gods) in a prominent role.

This month, Mercury will be in contact with almost all other planets and in various aspects.

For this reason, we will have a month with a lot of communication of different kinds, asking a lot from our potential for interpretation.

Realize yourself, that real understanding is not only about logic, but needs a combination with feeling and compassion.

Mercury is also the protector of the thieves and the mentor of juristic approved theft.

This month, many issues could come out, shining a new light on everything presumed to be logic and true.

Possibly we could indicate April as Mercury month, having 10 major aspects between Mercury and other planets. 8 out of these 10 aspects are harmonic, the other 2 (squares) call for our special attention. Nevertheless, these aspects are not the most important during this month.

This is supposed to be the conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune on April 12^th at Pisces 24^th degree. The symbol of this degree is, according to the astrological mandala:

“On a small island, surrounded by the vast expanse of the sea, people are living in close interaction”.

This is the degree indicating the necessity to become aware of the own limitations (very important at the moment of a conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune) in order to concentrate one’s energies to live a centered and fulfilled life.

This is also about the issue to take one’s personal place in this ambience and to contribute to the combined challenge. A relevant challenge for the 13 years to come, until the next conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune.

In a special article in this newsletter special attention is spent to the meaning of the energy of this conjunction.

As I already mentioned, this month it will be Mercury asking our attention. The messenger of the Gods will be very present. Sometimes to connect our mental processes to our intuitive feelings, on other moments to play a role in our communication in all different formats. With Mercury in Aries (the first part of the month), this will be predominantly quickly reacting and not always thoughtful.

The New Moon on April 1^st on Aries 12^th degree is symbolized according to the mandala by:

“A triangularly shaped flight of wild geese”.

This New Moon is also in conjunction with Mercury. The degree symbolizes the ideal of law and order. Wild geese fly in a triangularly formation at the beginning of a long flight. According to Beerlandt in her book “When animals could speak”, the goose symbolizes new challenge prepared for mankind.

On April 5th there is another special energy, Mars in conjunction with Saturn, a challenge to work on structure, possible the structure of the challenge symbolized by the New Moon.

While Venus changes sign and enters Pisces, our creative imagination might become borderless.

On april 7^th, Mars and, also Saturn for the rest of the month, will make a square to the nodal axis.

You might be challenged to find a balance between the use of your cosmic reservoir (the Akasha chronic) and new challenges coming on your path.

On April 10^th we must face a strong and possible dangerous energy, causing unexpected and possibly explosive events.

When Mercury enters Taurus on April 11^th, our impulsiveness will weaken, and our thoughtfulness will grow.

On April 12^th, due to Jupiter in conjunction with Neptune, a basis for societal ideals in the 13 years to come might be created. When Mars is entering Pisces a couple of days later, possibly the extreme aggressive actions will come to an end.

On April 18^th we can have genius ideas or have to face unexpected events. Also take care not to be too close to dangerous situations.

When on April 20^th the Sun enters Taurus, life will become more relaxed. We get the possibility to spend more time in nature.

About April 24^th we easily could feel frustrated by opposition from others. Try to understand what the message is behind and consider changing your plans in favor of the community. Take your ideals to guide you and stay away from your ego interests. About the end of the month the energy could be very creative and could inspire the most hidden talents out of us.

On April 30th there will be a solar eclipse on Taurus 11th degree, also representing the second New Moon this month. A new beginning, however, possibly shaded by emotional attitudes.

The degree is symbolized by: “A woman watering flowers in her garden”.

It is the degree of cultivation, dedicated to developing the consciousness of the individual in a natural manner.

The rabbit and the Queen of pentacles

In this issue a first contribution with a wink at Eastern: the rabbit and the Queen of pentacles.

The hare and the Queen of pentacles

 On the tarot card “Queen of pentacles”, in the foreground a hare appears from the bush. No, a rabbit, some of you may call.

Never mind, it doesn’t matter as the symbolic meaning of rabbit and hare are almost the same. The rabbit is blessed with an extreme fertility and connected to Venus, the Goddess of love and beauty. Sometimes it appears in presentations of love, especially in the Renaissance, as a symbol of sensual pleasure. But also, the hare as a symbol of fertility exists for many centuries.

In the years BC, the hare was considered to be holy, and was not allowed to be eaten.

Centuries later, for instance with the Romans, it was supposed that by eating a hare, the beauty could be supported.

An amulet with an eye of a hare was supposed to protect against sickness of the eyes and blindness and blood of the hare was supposed to support the impregnation.

Enough about all this superstitiousness. In the context of a religious symbolism the hare or the rabbit become a special meaning. A white hare, laid down at the feet of Virgin Mary, indicates with no doubt her virginity and her victory over passion. In medieval books about animals and their properties, a special quality of the hare and the rabbit is emphasized: these animals have the ability to walk very quick aloft, and thus succeed in escaping from their pursuers. This is interpreted as a symbol of mankind, escaping from the devil, by consecrating to God.

Animals like the hare and the rabbit, who can’t defend themselves against violence are called “Flee animals”. They have beautiful and big eyes on both sides of their heads, allowing them to have a good oversight on the terrain. And they possess big eyes allowing them to hear any sign of trouble.

However, the hare lives isolated and has no hole like a rabbit. For this reason, he is even more vulnerable and unprotected. He has his dog-sleep in a shallow hole, a form in the open field, where he lies with the ears alongside the body.

But as soon as he hears something he becomes active, when he is persecuted, he flies zigzagging to get rid of his pursuers.

Hares are helping each other, they jump in each other’s track, and try to mislead the enemy to save their young ones. Hares are very sacrificing and thus it can happen they “become the hare”.

Sacrifice and selflessness are shown as a quality and thus also as a meaning of the Queen of pentacles. And then something else, hares do not attack, they are peaceful, as well as the Queen.

The symbol of the hare is connected to the Christian Eastern, where the rituals origin from antique and pagan rites and the resurrection from the death is celebrated.

Ostara

Eastern with the fertility symbol “egg” plays a role in the meaning of many rites related to spring.

Spring in origin is a German word meaning becoming longer, the draw out of the days.

On Sunday March 20^th with the Sun in Aries, the first sign of the equinox, we celebrate the beginning of spring.

On this moment the Sun passes the equator, from the South to the North and day and night have the same duration. This date is exactly between the winter solstice and the summer solstice.

Ostara is the Goddess of the bright shining morning and the increasing light.

Her name is related to the East, the direction where the Sun first is seen in the morning.

In official German this Goddess was called “Eástr Ostara” and the month March was called ‘Esturmonath’, to honor the Goddess Ostara.

Every year this was celebrated in the feast ‘Ôstartage’. This feast took 2 days as well as nowadays.

In earlies years in the Netherlands, we celebrated ‘Ooster’, but the stories about the Goddess Ostara were equalized to the Jewish Pesach.

This means that in the Netherlands the feast is called “Pasen”.

The name is related from the Pesach, in religious point of view the spring is the symbol of the redemption of mankind.

Thus, we see that the hare became the Easter hare, an Osterhase in German.

The German Goddess Eáster, who is also celebrated at the ritual kindling of fires at sunrise, made a magic change of an almost frozen bird to the snow hare, the snow hare bringing us rainbow eggs.

The Goddess Eáster came walking over the rainbow in a warm scarlet colored garment, making the snow melt.

It is said, that when the snow hare appears in the forests, spring is near.

Very early and before sunrise on Eastern morning, he hides the Easter eggs, hoping that we, human beings, will try to find these new germs of life.

With all these added symbolisms, the Queen of pentacles represents the first season of the year, “spring”, representing the temporary rebirth of nature after the death (winter).

In ancient Rome, spring was identified by the Goddess Flora, symbol of fertility in nature and protector of women in joyful anticipation.

Overall it gives the impression, that Pamela Coleman Smith, the drawer of the Rider Waite tarot, has been inspired by pictures of mother Mary, the Sacred Virgin with a hare at her feet.

Or was it the Goddess Flora sitting on het throne of roses.

The legend of the hare on the Moon.

In a Buddhistic legend a special role is played by a hare. Having pity with a hungry Buddha he sacrifices his life by jumping in a fire to feed the hungry Buddha.

Actor Wim van der Zwan has told this story in the legend of the hare on the Moon.

The Buddha and the hare on the Moon

Even the Buddha had to live several lives to be born in a such a exalted state that he could find a solution for the suffering of mankind. In one of these former lives the Buddha to be had been born as a hare. This hare had as friends an otter, an ape, and a jackal. It was a special quartet; all these animals only had the objective to serve.

On a certain day the hare said: Let us fast today to purify, but let us take care to give others to eat when they need it.

As been told, so been done.

The otter went to hunt a fish, he saved for an eventual passer-by. The ape took tasteful fruit from trees, the jackal set out a nice piece of meat. Only the hare was sitting sad and worried what he could give.

He only was used to eat tough grass, and nobody would like that. The only thing he had to offer was himself.

Indra had a look on this picture from his heavenly throne. Would the hare be so subservient that he would offer himself?

He came done to the earth as a monk and went to the otter. Without hesitation he gave Indra the fresh fish. The ape gave his fruit and the jackal the meat.

After this the monk went to the hare and asked: “Do you have something to eat for me?”.

The hare jumped up, glad to be able to serve and answered: “gather some pieces of wood and light a nice burning fire. Call me when it is burning”.

The monk did what he had been asked and after a while, the flames burnt the dry pieces of wood.

When the fire was heat enough, the hare jumped in the flames.

To his surprise, the fire was not heat. “Why don’t I get burned?” he asked to his guest.

Then Indra told who he really was, He explained how he had challenged the four friends and said how impressed he was by the behavior of the hare, who, without a moment of hesitation was prepared to sacrifice himself for a monk he didn’t know.

Therefore, Indra took some juice from a tree and draw the picture of a hare on the moon.

This would inform the whole world about this symbol of self-sacrifice.

And when you look at the moon thoroughly you can see the hare can still been seen there.

Light on the path & through the gates of gold

This booklet of author Mabel Collins had been published in the first issue in 1887.

Possibly some of you know it.

When I opened it, I had been struck immediately by the contents and understood it contains messages still being of value.

At least the texts invite to reflect and offer the possibility to apply in the spiritual development of humanity.

In this issue the following texts:

Rule 5: Kill every feeling of separateness

Rule 6: Kill the longing for sensual awareness

Rule 7: Kill your hunger for growth

Rule 8: Be aware in loneliness and separateness

Also, in these rules we recognize a possible contradiction between rule 5 and 8.

Is it the message to bud, grow, and become aware, without all impressions becoming part of the EGO?

Is it the message, that everything you experience should be perceived valueless and without adding an intense feeling of longing?

Is it the message that we learn to trust that everything on our path exposes at the moment needed for your growth?

For the moment I leave it to the reader to try to understand these rules and get the answers.

Read them more often, every new exercise brings new insights.

Jupiter conjunction Neptune (a 13-year cycle)

On April 12th we have a conjunction of the planets Jupiter and Neptune on Pisces 24^th degree.

This conjunction takes place once in every 13 years, and every time in the next sign of the ecliptic.

The last time in 2009 on May 27^th and July 10^th this conjunction was on Aquarius 27^th and 28^th degree.

The next time on March 24^th, 2035, it will take place on Aries 22^nd degree.

A Neptune and Jupiter conjunction can be supposed to be the top energy during the transit of Neptune through a sign.

The last conjunction in Pisces tool place on March 16^th, 1856, in Pisces 19^th degree.

The number 13 is the number of transience, the victory over death and limitation.

This is also the number of card 13 fin the Rider Waite tarot, the Death.

A card indicating transformation and the end of a difficult period, and also the breaking of squeezing ties.

Neptune conjunction Jupiter can give an indication to excessive behavior and boundlessness.

This energy has a different effect in every other house of the horoscope.

It is the challenge to overcome the primary impulse and to use the energy for a focus on a deeper social meaning.

In the 1^st house the challenge is to keep distance and develop awareness for balanced relationships.

In the 2^nd house the challenge is to develop an aware use of material resources in relation to a needed balance with natural environment.

With Venus retrograde only a few months behind us, we might recently have developed new ideas about this.

In the 3rd house, many new experiences may cross your path. The challenge is to internalize them and use them in a balanced way.

In the 4th house we get the challenge to become aware of the own values and skills.

In the 5th house we must manage an unlimited creative mood. It is about the development of restrictiveness and selectiveness.

In the 6th house we should be aware to be restrictive in our nurture and physical or psychical burden.

In the 7th house you should learn also to trust on the insight of the partner and suppress the tendency only to follow the own insights.

In the 8^th house we should learn not to trust too much on the other people. Be aware of the own responsibility and take the responsibility for this. You should be modest in everything you do.

In the 9^th house you must learn not to surrender to unrealistic dreams and, also to be aware dreams should possibly become part of reality.

In the 10th house you should learn to understand the difference between beautiful but unrealistic visions and societal reality. It is good to have trust in a good star, but also stay aware of some flickering of every star.

In the 11th house you need to make a difference between real friends and occasional friends (those who try to be friends in their own interests).

In the 12th house you should wonder to what extent your need for self-expression still is realistic and useful in society.

Astrology and astronomy in daily practice.

In March we had many days cloudless skies, offering the opportunity to see Venus and Mars early in the morning shortly before sunrise.

I managed to see them several times, however every time again my effort to take a picture was not successful.

Also, in April Venus and Mars will remain visible.

Gradually the distance between Venus and Mars grows, Venus will go closer to the Sun and Mars will have a growing distance to the Sun.

On April 26th and 27th we can see them both (still before sunrise) together with the last slice of the Moon on her way to the Ne Moon and eclipse on April 30^th.

On March 3rd we had the conjunction between Pluto, Mars and Venus. A very powerful configuration with different possibilities for the use of power, either for the worse as we see in aggressive actions in Ukraine and for the good as we see in all actions aiding people who have lost their homes.

In last month’s newsletter I wrote about it:

“But be aware the energies are very powerful and can be misused by people trying to expand their power over others. This type of misuse will always result in anti-forces according to the law of balance of power”.

At the moment it has been made clear what this could mean.

On March 25^th there was a conjunction between Mercury (meeting, communication) and Neptune (dreams, in the clouds). That day I left home to attend a meeting. When I arrived there, it turned out the meeting had been planned a week afterwards. I also had forgotten to take my handy.

Fortunately, my meeting partner was present, and we could have our meeting.
