Introduction
In this article a preview for the year 2011 is presented. The year 2011 can be indicated as a year of transfer or better as a year for necessary transformation to tackle the current problems in the our worldwide society. The comments in this article are based on the interpretation of the major geocosmic signatures and the related cycles for 2011.
Societal challenges
Our world has arrived in a crucial era. Pluto transit in Capricorn indicates the need for deep structural reforms as this transit also indicated about 250 years ago in the era preceding the first Industrial revolution (Adam Smith) and the enlighted despotism of Europe’s monarchies. Pluto in Capricorn will demolish systems that are not in favor of mankind but only for a happy few. Pluto in Capricorn will cooperate narrowly with Uranus entering Aries on March 12th this year. Uranus in Aries will result in many initiatives for change. Pluto in Capricorn will also cooperate with Neptune entering Pisces between April 4th and August 6th and then returning to Aquarius for a couple of months before it starts it 15 years stay in Pisces in 2012. Neptune in Pisces will open eyes for true idealism, however it can also be misused for fraud. However Pluto in Capricorn will always make the real objectives clear.
2011 therefore can be the year of hope and transformation where the world will manage to settle systems serving all mankind, enabling people all over the world to earn a healthy living and disrupting systems used by people gathering more and more wealth at the expense of the poor. Up to now the changes needed in financial systems have not been arranged. They still serve to keep current distribution of power intact. We still keep going to try to gather enormous amounts of money in simple transactions, without understanding that every dollar earned has to be paid at the same moment. As long as governments and financial institutions support this mechanism there will be no balance in societal developments. 2011 will be the last possibility to make improvements, in 2012 these improvements (especially around June 24 and September 18th) will be tested on societal tenability. Only those improvements having the objective to contribute to a balanced division of resources and wealth in the world will turn out to have sustainability.
The climate
The climate in the year 2011 will be experienced as rather warm, especially the period from March to June, however the beginning of this year will be extremely cold, with lots of snow, storms and blizzards endangering the continuous delivery of electricity and other energy. In Western Europe for some time there can be a problem related to this. In the Netherlands they will probably be able to organize another “Elfstedentocht”, a speed skating challenge over more than 200 kilometers through the province of Friesland and passing the 11 cities of this province.
Societal unrest
In April and May there will be on a rather big scale a chance on societal unrest as e.g. strikes, demonstrations, and other forms of resistance against societal power. On one hand people will try to defend rights that are already obsolete and cannot be preserved on the other hand there will be alert for necessary societal innovations. There will be new disclosures about abuses kept secret.
Dutch Queen Beatrix
End March or begin April 2011 the Queen of the Netherlands will probably announce that she will withdraw and when this will take place. It will start violent discussions about the constitutional role of the Queen. To keep this discussion in control (there is a real chance for the opposite in September 2011) it would be wise to announce changes in the future role of the Queen at the moment her abdication will be announced.
The solar eclipse at the beginning of 2011
The solar eclipse of January 4th 2011 at 9:03 GMT on the 14th degree of Capricorn gives additional indications for the required change. Bernadette Brady has studied the phenomena of eclipses and published her ideas in her book “Predictive Astrology: the eagle and the lark”. She makes differences between the potential effect of eclipses and categorizes them into Saros series. The eclipse of January 4th is categorized in Saros series 13 North. It bears energy for transformation of groups and activities for communities. It gives ambition for new initiatives needed to better prepare for the future. Where changes are opposed to, it can be necessary first to remove these obstacles. According to the astrological mandala of Dane Rudhyar the 14th degree of Capricorn is represented by “An ancient bas-relief, carved in granite, remains a witness to a long forgotten culture”. The important issue here is to distinguish between real traditional values and simple beliefs added by individuals to settle their own power. This a.o. has taken place for centuries in societal mainstreams like capitalism or communism, but also in religions where people are taught in de tail how to believe in the God and how to serve him. It may be obvious the energy of this eclipse can benefit activities in line with the messages from the Saros series and the 14th degree of Capricorn as a help to achieve societal changes.
Those people whose personal horoscope make aspects to the eclipse will especially be the ones to deal with the challenges of the eclipse. In general this are all people born on January 3rd or 4th, April 3rd or 4th, July 5th or 6th, October 6th or 7th. But also other persons could be effected especially those having MC or AC on 14th degree of a cardinal sign (Capricorn, Aries, Cancer, Libra).
